Artist's Description
"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet" is a popular adage from William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet, in which Juliet seems to argue that it does not matter that Romeo is from her family's rival house of Montague. The reference is used to state that the names of things do not affect what they really are. This formulation is, however, a paraphrase of Shakespeare's actual language. Juliet compares Romeo to a rose saying that if he were not named Romeo he would still be handsome and be Juliet's love - source Wikipedia
About Ann Leech
My passions are Art, the countryside, animals, nature, my dogs, science and medicine and mental health. I am a Psychiatric Nurse and Researcher by background, so I like to paint medical paintings. I have just had one of my paintings published as the front cover on the 2022 edition of Anatomy and Physiology by Elsevier..... I like to work from the early morning through to lunch and walk my Lurcher through the woods behind me. I gain inspiration from other artists, the countryside, animals and so don't really have a single style because I like to experiment so much. I hope you like my prints and artwork as much as I have enjoyed creating them and I'm really grateful to anyone who buys from me as its my sole source of income.
